Things to do in and around Ipswich

Ipswich has a population of 130,000 and a selection of good restaurants, pubs and bars.  There is a fantastic choice of activities, clubs and societies in Suffolk.  If in doubt your colleagues and fellow trainees will have suggestions – most hobbies will be covered by the 70 or so staff of the anaesthetics department.  It is also easy to reach Cambridge, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds & London via train.

Woodbridge, another picturesque town with a wealth of entertainment, is situated on the river Deben. It is easily accessible by train from Ipswich
